Day 23 El Burgo Ranero to Mansilla de las Mulas

We left sooo early this morning 6:15 and got here at 11:30 (18.8 kms) but the Albergue doesn´t open until 12:30.  It is finally sunny and hot and we have a beautiful courtyard with pots of pansies and geraniums hanging on the wallls.  The pilgrims soon fill the courtyard with laundry, the colours mixing with the colours of the flowers.  One of the hospitaleros here remembers us from our cold wet miserable stay in Redecilla del Camino back on Day 9.  He walked here and is now volunteering for 2 weeks.  Amazing!  There is another amazing hospitalera here by the name of Laura who has found us a place to stay in Leon at a Hostal.  It is like a small hotel.  It is right on the plaza across from the Cathedral, perfect!  I can´t believe we will be in Leon tomorrow!  I want to remember and hold all of these sights and sounds but they are going by so fast.  Walking should slow it all down but it gives you so much more to see and hear.  Buen Camino!
