Not a long walk today but that is okay. The terrain is changing now - a few more ups and downs. We are staying in a private Albergue and a very nice one. The dormitory is fully booked so he gives us a private room - no extra charge because we did not ask for it. People travel differently on the Camino. There are those who do not want to stay in Albergues so they reserve at hotels or Casa rurals, and there are those who are okay with Albergues but want to walk at their own pace so they reserve at private albergues. There are also those who would not be able to walk the Camino if they had to carry a backpack so they reserve at a private Albergue and send their backpack by taxi to their next stop. This also woks if you develop severe blister problems or other problems. We have been staying at Municipal albergues because you cannot reserve at these and you cannot have your backpack sent ahead to one of these. We don´t reserve because we don´t know how far we are going to be able to walk!! If we try to stay at a private Albergue we try and arrive early enough to be assured of a bed. Also, at a private Albergue a communal meal is usually offered which is really nice. At a Municipal Albergue you usually have to prepare your own dinner and breakfast or go out to a bar or cafe. Everyone´s Camino is their own! That´s your Camino 101 lesson for today. Buen Camino!
